Established at the end of 2000 by
Christophe
Lavigne, Hervé
Dinville and
Patrick Richard,
LDR’s founders have
a long, successful
history in the
musculoskeletal industry.
Their
combined experience spans research
and
development, regulatory approval,
marketing, sales and international
distribution.

Lavigne, Dinville and Richard first
worked
together at JBS, a
French
spine company
founded in the
late 1980s. JBS went on
to create
a
ground-breaking artificial disc
family,
now known as ProDisc®, along with
other
innovative spinal implants.

They founded LDR in Troyes, France on the premise that there
were still many unsolved issues in spine surgery. LDR would focus on developing
medical devices and instrumentation for the surgical treatment of spinal
conditions caused by congenital defects, injury and trauma.

Lavigne, Dinville and Richard pledged to work collaboratively
with surgeons to create new implants, instrumentation and techniques to help
make spine surgery better, more consistent and easier for surgeons, as well as
to produce an improved quality of life for patients. LDR’s prolific achievement
in creating innovative spine products in such a short period of time lies with
their deep experience and innate passion to meet the needs of the most skilled
orthopaedic surgeons.
